I will really miss Uganda and especially TASO. Yesterday we presented our gender based violence report and they were very grateful for all the work we put into it. Last night they even took us out to dinner and they all thanked us for everything we did. I truly appreciate the way they took us in and helped us get through this summer. I will miss them and I hope I get to come to Uganda sooner than later.
Stay tuned for my Lessons learned entry tomorrow.....

howd you do on the presentation?
ReplyDeletei wanna know how this experience has shaped your future career plans. did it confirm or negate what you wanted to do???
ReplyDeleteThe presentation went well! The one at HQ was a little tougher bc everyone there is kinda higher management so they were asking alot of questions, being critical and giving lots of suggestions for improving the study and future work. I learned so much though.
ReplyDeleteThe experience confirmed what I want to do. I think the main thing that has been clarified for me though is my ability to be away for long periods of time. Like before this I was willing to do a year overseas to gain more experience. I don't think I could do that. I at the most would want to travel places for like a month and then come back. But I know my passion for global public health is my calling in life!
